The kimono Almond Blossom is based on the painting Almond Blossom by Vincent van Gogh. The kimono contains the blossoming branches on a turquoise blue background with natural green and white tones. Vincent painted one of his favourite subjects: large, blossoming branches against a blue sky. He made this painting as a gift, on the occasion of the birth of his godson Vincent Willem, who was also named after him. As a symbol of young life, Vincent chose the branches of the almond tree, one of the earliest blossoming trees, which announces spring as early as February. With the subject, the sharp outlines and the placement of the tree in the painting, Van Gogh was inspired by Japanese printmaking. High quality The Almond Blossom kimono is made of 100% high-quality tencel with a quality of 115 gr/m2. The kimono can be washed with similar colours up to 30 degrees and is suitable for the tumble dryer. Durable material Tencel is made from eucalyptus wood that is grown in a much better controlled and regulated way. The chemicals used here are filtered and reused, unlike many other raw materials where the chemicals disappear back into nature. Tencel is therefore much more sustainable.
