We want to minimize the impact of our products on the environment and therefore strive to use sustainable materials. Our most important raw material is cotton. The cultivation and processing of cotton has a great impact on the environment and that is why we focus on finding more sustainable alternatives. We are continuously working on making things more sustainable and taking people and the environment into account. That is why Bedding House introduces the Beddinghouse Care line with various more sustainable qualities. Lyocell is made from the cellulose fibres of beech trees, which can be grown on soil that is not suitable for agriculture. Because beech trees can be grown using wastewater and fewer harmful solvents, the cultivation process is much more environmentally friendly than, for example, cotton cultivation. The beech needs less water, pesticides and fertilisers to grow and is therefore a more sustainable option. In addition, lyocell has antibacterial properties, excellent moisture absorption capacity and offers optimum ventilation. The fabric ensures very good temperature regulation, making this duvet cover cool in the summer and warm in the winter. This duvet cover is made of 30% lyocell and 70% cotton sateen with cord piping on the pillowcases. The mix of lyocell and cotton sateen makes this duvet cover silky soft, durable, shiny and pleasant to sleep under. We are bringing this new collection in FSC cardboard packaging. This means that the raw material of the packaging comes from responsibly managed forests. This packaging is a lot more sustainable and can simply be thrown away with the old paper, so that it can be recycled again. The elastic around the packaging can be reused.
